Before an applicant is sent on assignment, he or she must pass through Guidance Medical Personnel’s rigorous screening process. All applicants are thoroughly tested, reference-checked, and all necessary credentials are verified. Credential expiration dates are input and closely tracked by our internal GuidaNet system, which automatically alerts our staff to notify applicants of impending expirations in a timely manner. No applicant is allowed to begin or continue an assignment without properly updated credentials.

Among the credentials we require:

• Updated Licenses and Certifications
• Physical Exams, including PPD or chest X-ray,
Titer readings or vaccinations
• CPR, BCLS and ACLS
• Fire & Safety, Infection Control and OSHA
• Malpractice coverage
• Curriculum Vitae
• Ongoing record of all continuing education
• Skills checklist and skills testing
• Reference checks
• Drug testing upon request
• Criminal background check upon request
